There are many ways to help. We are always looking for someone to be part of our committees (event planning, presentations, etc.). The future of the historical society relies on volunteers and new members. You can help with inventory, construction, recruiting, working booths at events, social media, graphic design, content writing, research, and more. Yes! We held our ribbon cutting on March 31, 2026 and our first day of operations was May 23, 2026. We are currently open Thursdays from 4pm to 7pm and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. The museum will have a genealogy room for research, exhibits, a gift shop, educational programs, and more. This is the first ever county history museum in Saline County. We'd love to hear your presentation idea. At every quarterly membership meeting (that is also open to non-members), we have a speaker present an interesting history topic.
